Celebrating A Year of Steadfast Study

This Sunday marks the final Badge Ceremony for our children, which will be held at the very beginning of the church service. We've worked through a large portion of the Old Testament this year, chronologically and without skipping over the tough stories, such as the death of Uzzah or David's failure with Bathsheba. We've talked and read about God's Ten Commandments, using "God's Little Guidebooks" to illustrate applications. We have sung -- and I don't think I'm exaggerating to say loved -- 20 Scripture verses. Praise to God for those children who have memorized these commandments and verses!

We will use our final Wednesday night session to finish up two projects we have been working on in class: a Ten Commandments "tablet" and our second book of the year, a mini-book that magnifies the Westminister Catechism question: What is God? God is a spirit, infinite, eternal and unchangeable in His being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth.

It has been a privilege to spend these months with your children and to see them embrace the Word of God!
